Lazia, 26 April 2022 — The Confederation of Mahuset has carried out a sweeping reorganisation of its internal map, merging several constituent entities, dissolving others and creating new autonomous areas.
The Republics of Virgo and Starnia have been merged into a single state, the Mahusetan Republic of Virgo and Starnia. The Duchy of Geestmerambacht has been merged into the County of Ihuset, becoming an autonomous administrative area, while the Duchy of Kastelle has been dissolved, its territory divided between the Free City of Lazia, the County of Ihuset and the County of Noorderhout. Enlarged by these changes, Ihuset is elevated to the County and Duchy of Ihuset.
Within the Most Serene and Noble State of Matsia and Mahusetan Krasota, two new autonomous areas — Matsia-Northumberland and Cherrystan — have been established, and Chad Chase Nanatovich appointed Acting First Minister of the state. The territorial changes were among a wider raft of measures announced the same day, which also merged a dozen institutes into the new Mahusetan National University.
