Lazia, 23 November 2021 — The National Convention of 2019 has changed the official Dutch name of the Confederation from "Confederatie Mahuset" to "Eedgenootschap Mahuset".

The change from “Confederatie Mahuset” to “Eedgenootschap Mahuset” — an older Dutch word for a confederation, or sworn union — continued the turn towards traditional Dutch nomenclature, the same instinct that would later restyle the Confederation’s highest offices in the language of the historical Dutch Republic.
