The claim
“Virgo and Starnia claims territory on the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan border surrounded by Hasanistan.”
Lazia, 24 August 2026 — A claim has circulated that Virgo and Starnia claims territory on the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, surrounded by the micronation of Hasanistan. The Courant van Lazia has examined the record.
The record bears out the claim on every point. The Republics of Virgo and Starnia were formed and annexed on 3 February 2016. Hasanistan recognised the Mahusetan claim to Virgo on 31 July 2020, and in 2022 the two republics were merged into a single republic. The territory lies on the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and is enclaved within Hasanistan, which surrounds it. It is the seventh of the Confederation’s territorial claims and lies far from the others; together those claims total 36.39 square kilometres across Europe, North America and Central Asia.
One precision is worth making, though it does not disturb the substance. The claim is held by the Confederation rather than by Virgo and Starnia: the republic is a constituent entity of Mahuset and is itself the claimed territory, not a claimant in its own right. On the geography, on the enclavement within Hasanistan and on the dates, the claim as it circulates is accurate. We rate it True.
