Lazia, 8 September 2016 — The Lazian Chamber has appointed Edward Greiner as Recruiter, allowing him to recruit citizens into Mahuset without a vote of the chamber.
The office of Recruiter allowed its holder to admit new citizens without a vote of the Lazian Chamber, a mechanism intended to ease the Confederation’s chronic difficulty in growing its small citizenry. Similar powers would be revived in later years, as recurring shortages of active citizens prompted the government to look for ways to bring in new members quickly.
