Lazia, 20 July 2016 — The Lazian Chamber has passed the first Mahuset Day reform, by two votes in favour with two yet to be cast. Under it, Mahuset declares neutrality on the terms of the Second Hague Convention.
The reform was the first of several passed by the Lazian Chamber around Mahuset Day, the Confederation’s national day. In declaring neutrality on the terms of the Second Hague Convention of 1907, Mahuset aligned itself with a long tradition of small-state neutrality — a posture it would maintain in later conflicts, among them the 2020 war over Nagorno-Karabakh.
