Lazia, 1 August 2020 — Stephen Freayth has left the office of prime minister of the Confederation of Mahuset, a post he had held since the start of 2018. He is succeeded by Hasan Çakar.
Freayth, the Emperor of Abelden, was among the Confederation's founding figures and one of its longest-serving heads of government. He had won the first Mahusetan prime-ministerial election, in January 2018, with 61.1% of the vote. His standing had been reflected only weeks before, when the territory of Lundenland was renamed in his honour.
The circumstances of his departure were not set out publicly.
Edited for the relaunch of the Courant van Lazia.
