Lazia, 23 May 2026 — Giroporte, the Confederation of Mahuset's digital payments infrastructure, is among the systems by which residents may verify their age under the new Ethical Gooning Initiative.
Giroporte is an internet payment system, based on online banking, that allows customers to make secure online purchases through direct transfers from their bank accounts. It is comparable to the Dutch iDEAL service and is owned by IBA FM.
Under the initiative, age verification may be carried out through a national identity card, a passport, the state's id.mi authentication system, or Giroporte. The government has nonetheless promoted its new anonymous verification cards as a way of decoupling age checks from the transmission of personal or financial data — implicitly contrasting them with established systems, such as Giroporte, that involve such data.
