Lazia, 16 July 2019 — The Konmalehth has announced a partnership with the Micronational Independent World Scouting Movement (MIWSM), an independent international scouting body spearheaded by the Millanian Federación de Escultismo en Millánia y Nueva Granada.
Founded by Nicolás Millán, and soon joined by Connor Stumperth and Thomas Bainbridge, the movement takes as its mission “to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Scout Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society”. Shortly after its establishment Millán encouraged other micronations to recognise the body and to found domestic scouting organisations of their own.
“I welcome the new partnership between the Konmalehth and the MIWSM,” President Emiel van der Huijsen told the Courant van Lazia. “I believe that scouting organisations could have a lot to offer to a lot of different micronations. The Mahusetan government doesn’t currently have plans for the creation of a Mahusetan scouting organisation, but I fully welcome any initiative by Mahusetan citizens to create one.”
