Lazia, 25 July 2020 — The Confederation of Mahuset has called an open public forum to address what its government has termed the "current citizenship crisis and the future of Mahuset as a result of it".
The forum is to be held in the general channel of the Mahusetan Discord server, the principal venue of the Confederation's public life. Announcing it, President Emiel van der Huijsen set the meeting for 20:00 GMT on the coming Sunday, giving the corresponding times across the Confederation's scattered territories.
The crisis concerns a shortage of active citizens, which has deepened during a prolonged contraction in the Confederation's membership since 2019. The open forum had become a recurring feature of Mahusetan public life; earlier in July, one such meeting debated whether Chinese-owned social-media platforms such as TikTok should be banned.
