Lazia, 2 November 2020 — Mahuset, Hasanistan, Brennonia, Nedland and Pacifica have agreed to form a diplomatic bloc, to be known as the “Batyr Bloc”, to promote mutual co-operation and cultural exchange.
The five states created the new body to strengthen ties already resting largely on prior friendships and intranational connections. It is not intended as a political union, its founders say, but as something closer to groupings such as the G7 or the G20.
At the bloc’s first summit the heads of state, together with additional representatives for Nedland and Hasanistan, agreed to hold further summits at roughly three-month intervals, with the chair rotating between members. They also agreed to begin supporting a range of associated projects: an online intermicronational hub along the lines of MicroWiki, a press association, a set of sporting competitions and an encyclopedia devoted to the former MicroWikia community.
Those present were Hasan Çakar, of Hasanistan, as summit chair, alongside Emiel van der Huijsen of Mahuset, Chase Nanatovich of Brennonia, Ned Gunderson of Nedland and Raja Adumbratu of Pacifica — known in Mahuset as Shady Hosam Morsi — with Lüd İsveçoğlu, Mikael Bokmann and Wendell Farmer attending as deputy representatives. A joint communiqué was issued at the summit’s close.
