Lazia, 23 February 2019 — The Mahusetan Fandom Encyclopedia, the predecessor of the present Royal Wiki, has had its domain name changed from “mahuset.wikia.com” to “mahuset.fandom.com” — a small but, in its way, significant upset in Mahusetan history.
The encyclopedia was founded on 1 November 2012 as the Mahuset Wiki, and formed a large part of Mahusetan activity after the then King, and current President, Emiel van der Huijsen transformed the Kingdom of Mahuset into a heavily centralised absolute monarchy, following the expulsion of XO and, with him, Matsia. It endured through the kingdom’s later democratisation and successive governments — the eniakist one-party state and the democratic administration of the Triumphant Parliament and the Mahusetan triumvirate among them — before being renamed the Royal Wiki.
The name Mahusetan Fandom Encyclopedia belongs to what the site became once the Royal Wiki migrated from the Wikia wiki farm to the more Wikipedia-like Miraheze, leaving the old Wikia encyclopedia dormant. The Royal Wiki remains an important part of Mahusetan life, if in a markedly more serious and formal register than its fandom-oriented predecessor. For now it is the smaller of the two — 36 written articles against the Fandom Encyclopedia’s 255 — though its editors continue to concentrate their efforts there, and hold its articles to a higher standard.
