Lazia, 4 December 2021 — The Interim Republic of Matsia has been renamed the Most Serene and Noble State of Matsia and Mahusetan Krasota — "Matsia" for short.
Matsia, the home state of the co-founder XO, had been governed by an interim commission since his departure in 2019 stripped much of its population. The grand new style, adopted by the National Convention of 2019, gave the diminished state a resounding formal name even as it was administered from outside.
The renaming was one of a run of measures passed on 4 December 2021, on a busy day of Mahusetan law-making. Within the state, new autonomous areas — among them Cherrystan and Matsia-Northumberland — would later be carved out under a reorganisation of the Confederation’s internal map.
