Lazia, 28 June 2026 — Chad Zabëlle Lunarius Skye-Greys, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sport and Science, has defended the decision to award the animated film Bee Movie a Mahusetan content rating of 18.

The rating, issued by Contentwatch, the Confederation’s motion-picture, television and video-game classification system, places the 2007 DreamWorks comedy among content deemed suitable only for adults. The decision drew comment for the apparent mismatch between the film’s family billing and its Mahusetan classification.

Skye-Greys, who was given charge of Contentwatch on entering the cabinet in 2024, stood by the classifiers’ judgement. The affair was characteristic of the seriousness with which the Confederation invests its cultural institutions, and of a content-rating regime unafraid to reach conclusions at odds with those of larger nations.
