Lazia, 5 September 2023 — The Ministerial Department of Law has been merged into the Council of State.

The legal department was absorbed into the Council of State, part of a continuing rationalisation of the Confederation’s institutions. The change placed the interpretation and oversight of Mahusetan law more firmly with the council, a role it would retain as the Confederation moved away from formal legal codes.
