Lazia, 5 July 2026 — Chad Shady Hosam Morsi has been removed from his post in the government of the Confederation of Mahuset, following his decision to withdraw from public life within the community of small nations. He retains his titles, for now.
The Onafhankelijke Kamerfractie (OKF), or Independent Chamber Group — the bloc long associated with Chad Morsi — will remain independent, neither dissolving nor folding into another grouping. Chad Hasan Çakar, the Deputy Lord-Grand Pensionary, has been named its interim leader, and will steer the group while its future is settled.
Chad Morsi’s withdrawal brings a quiet close to an active public career. His removal from government is the immediate consequence; the decision to let him keep his titles, at least for the present, leaves matters formally unresolved. The Confederation offered no timetable for a permanent settlement, either of his standing or of the group he leaves behind.
