Lazia, 13 October 2021 — The Confederation of Mahuset has established the Publieke Omroep Stichting (POS), a state body to administer the Confederation's public broadcasting services.
The foundation is the owner of this newspaper, the Courant van Lazia, together with the Mahusetan Broadcasting Service, the Lazian Newswire, Kompasstad's Weekly Briefing, Ætherstichting and Studio Drunken Memories of a Sickle and Sceptre. It is also part-owner of Stichting Aetherstock.
The foundation's abbreviation was chosen with a deliberate double meaning: by President Emiel van der Huijsen's own account, "POS" stands both for the Dutch name Publieke Omroep Stichting and, in English, for "piece of shit".
