Van der Huijsen and Freayth win first Mahusetan elections

The president and prime minister are returned in the Confederation's first democratic vote.

Lazia, 4 January 2018 — President Emiel van der Huijsen and Prime Minister Stephen Freayth have won the first Mahusetan elections, held on 3 and 4 January, marking the second anniversary of the Confederation's foundation.

The elections, held on 3 and 4 January to mark the Confederation’s second anniversary, returned President Emiel van der Huijsen and confirmed Stephen Freayth — the Emperor of Abelden — as prime minister. Freayth took the premiership with 61.1% of the vote, defeating a challenge from the co-founder XO, who became Leader of the Opposition.
