Lazia, 3 February 2016 — The Confederation of Mahuset has formed and annexed the Republics of Virgo and Starnia, in an act drafted and signed by President Emiel van der Huijsen after a long period of inactivity.
Starnia had long been part of Mahuset's predecessor, the United Kingdom of Greater Mahuset and the Mahusetan Realm; Virgo had for a long time been part of the Mouzeliot Empire and later an Ashukov state. The act passed by three votes to none, with one abstention — the president's, in an attempt to preserve neutrality.
