Lazia, 23 November 2021 — The National Convention of 2019 has adopted a basic copyright law conforming to the principles of the Berne Convention and other relevant international law. The government noted that, "in layman's terms", nothing had changed, since copyright had to be respected in any case.
The law brought Mahusetan practice into line with the principles of the Berne Convention, though the government noted that “in layman’s terms” nothing had changed, since copyright had to be respected in any case. It was one of a cluster of measures passed on a busy day of law-making by the National Convention.
