Confederation reforms drug law onto a three-list basis

Lazia, 6 October 2021 — The Confederation of Mahuset has reformed its drug policy onto a three-list basis, further liberalising it. Recreational drugs are now sorted into three categories: soft drugs and legal hard drugs, both of which may be sold under strict regulation — the latter only through the state monopoly Vicesysteem — and classified hard drugs, which remain prohibited.

The reform sorted recreational drugs into three categories: soft drugs and legal hard drugs, both saleable under strict regulation, and classified hard drugs, which remained banned. It accompanied the establishment, the same day, of Vicesysteem, the state monopoly modelled on Sweden’s Systembolaget through which legal hard drugs were to be sold.
