Lazia, 4 January 2026 — The National Convention of 2019 has approved the formation of the Mahusetan Correctional and Labour Administration Corporation (MCLAC), a government-owned body under the Ministry of Justice to manage prison labour and community-service programmes.
The corporation will coordinate work assignments, safety standards and partnerships with local authorities and contractors, consolidating responsibilities previously spread across several departments.
