Hasanistan and Brennonia sign treaty of union

Lazia, 18 July 2025 — Hasanistan and Brennonia have re-established diplomatic relations by signing a Treaty of Friendship, Union and Mutual Assistance, after a period of dormancy between them.

The treaty, signed this afternoon, provides for mutual recognition, political coordination and cultural exchange. A territorial transfer from Hasanistan to Brennonia was included as a gesture of goodwill and integration.

Both states, with Mahuset, are members of the Batyr Bloc, a trilateral framework for coordination, solidarity and international development. Observers in Lazia read the agreement as a reaffirmation of the bloc's vitality and of the enduring alignment between its members.

Mahuset was not a party to the treaty, but the close relationship between the leaderships of all three Batyr states played a part in facilitating it. Chad Lord-Stadtholder Emiel van der Huijsen is understood to have conveyed congratulations to Hasanistani and Brennonian officials shortly after the signing.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign and Batyr Bloc Affairs described the treaty as "a welcome and constructive development" and said Mahuset looked forward to closer coordination within the bloc in the months ahead.

The agreement comes amid wider efforts to deepen political and diplomatic ties within the Batyr sphere, and is expected to serve as a foundation for further collaboration between the signatories.
