Lazia, 25 August 2026 — Hasanistan lost its quarter-final 3–4 to Parasolia on 24 August after a last-second goal went unregistered, in an almost exact repetition of the play-off defeat that eliminated the Independent Team four weeks earlier.
Trailing by two in the closing stages, Hasanistan pulled one back at 2:52 and pushed for an equaliser. A final attack put the ball in the goal just as the game ended. The result stood, at the expense of the organiser who had defended the earlier decision and of a co-host nation staging the competition.
"We are proud of our performance but the dream is dead, it’s over," Hasanistan’s player Hasan Çakar said after the match.
It is the third instance of the pattern in this tournament, after the Independent Team’s play-off and the Hasanistan–New Oplaya group match of 15 June, whose footage Çakar entered into the arbitration as evidence of exactly this behaviour. The competition has now supplied its own demonstration that the standard applies without regard to who benefits.
The arbitration was not the organisers’ only problem in August. The Kingdom of Yotamistan reportedly dissolved on 14 August, taking with it the announced venues for the final and the third-place match, which had been assigned to Yotam City and Duck Island. The Brennonian and Hasanistani organisers subsequently agreed with the government of Mahuset that the final would be held in Lazia, with the third-place match in Mamucium.
Mahuset’s own tournament ended earlier, in a 5–2 quarter-final defeat by Tymbarc on 28 July that was expected to be closer than it proved. Nesea and Brennonia contest the final; Parasolia and Tymbarc meet for third place.
