Lazian Chamber holds first session since 2019 referendum

Lazia, 19 March 2020 — The Lazian Chamber held its first session on Sunday since the February 2019 constitutional referendum and the January federal elections that returned a new legislature, with four of its five members present, two of them voting by proxy.

Four motions were put to the vote. A mandatory two-week quarantine for coronavirus patients, in light of the global pandemic, and the signing of the Geneva Conventions were both approved unanimously, by four votes to nil. The signing of the Kyoto Protocol and the introduction of a 15 per cent corporate tax were both rejected, by two votes to one with one abstention.
