Lazia, 26 September 2025 — The annual Chad Lord-Stadtholder-Emeritus Day, honouring the work of Chad Emiel van der Huijsen, has concluded with the Lord-Stadtholder closing events in a private setting.
The day traces its origins to King's Day, observed from 2012 to 2014 when the head of state held the title of King, and was retained under its present name after the transition to the republican office. Public festivities featured speeches and digital commemorations of the early-2010s consolidation.
