Mahuset had joined the Konmalehth on 21 January 2019 and played an active part in its development, President Van der Huijsen having served a six-month term as Chair in which he enacted reforms that broadened the organisation’s reach — among them the transformation of Independent General Press into its official media agency. The withdrawal may pose a significant blow to the Konmalehth’s future sustainability.
