Mahuset to play in 2026 Intermicronational Haxball World Cup

Lazia, 14 June 2026 — Mahuset will take part in the Slopfest 2026 Intermicronational Haxball World Cup, also known as the 2026 MicroWorld Cup, officials have confirmed.

The tournament is organised by the Mahusetan Olympic Committee * Mahusetan Sports Federation (MOC*MSF). It is co-hosted by Brennonia, Hasanistan and Yotamistan, and is held alongside the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The competition is played through the browser game Haxball in a one-on-one format. Organisers confirmed that 20 teams will take part, beginning in five groups before advancing to a knockout stage. Entrants come from the Batyr Bloc and from the wider Community of Small Nations.

Mahusetan officials described the country's participation as "a modest but symbolically significant contribution to intermicronational sport, digital competition and the controlled release of patriotic fervour".

An anonymous MOC*MSF official, speaking in what the organisation later described as "competitive enthusiasm expressed through regrettably online terminology", said Mahuset respected all participating entities but would not be responsible for "any emotional consequences arising from a visible skill issue".

"We wish every team the best of luck," the official said. "However, should they find themselves unable to cope with the ball, the wall, basic angles, or the devastating reality of Haxball physics, they are advised to git gud before submitting a formal complaint."

The official added that Mahuset would enter the competition "with friendship in its heart, sportsmanship in its public statements, and an unshakeable commitment to not being ratioed by people who move like they are using airport Wi-Fi".

The tournament began on 14 June, with Stanland beating Tymbarc 6–4 in the first reported match. Officials said Mahuset would approach its fixtures with "discipline, civic dignity and the minimum amount of cope consistent with national honour".

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Science said the entry reflected the growing importance of online sporting events in micronational public life, describing Haxball as "not merely a browser game" but "a theatre of movement, timing, humiliation and occasionally legitimate sporting achievement".

The National Convention of 2019 welcomed the event and praised the organisers and co-hosts for providing what it called "a timely counterpart to the macronational World Cup". Observers said the entry formed part of a wider effort to maintain a visible presence in intermicronational cultural and sporting affairs.

The Chadly Chancery is expected to determine whether exceptional performances during the tournament may qualify for later civic recognition, provided that any goals scored are not immediately cancelled out by avoidable incompetence.
