Lazia, 30 August 2025 — The government has folded a range of independent offices and services into existing ministries, completing the third stage of its drive to rationalise the Mahusetan state.

The measures follow the abolition of the commissions of the National Convention of 2019 and the reassignment of ministerial portfolios, and form the last of three steps announced in quick succession.
Several independent units have been absorbed into the Ministry of Environment and Public Health. The Lifeguards' Brigade and the Central Post Ambulance Dispatch have ceased to exist as separate bodies, and the National Convention's COVID-19 task force has been dissolved, its responsibilities passing to the same ministry as part of a return to ordinary governance.
The Mahusetan Rangers, a paramilitary unit of the Mahusetan Marechaussee, have been abolished outright. Their duties revert to the Marechaussee at large, which already serves as the state's gendarmerie. Officials described the change as eliminating duplication while maintaining continuity of service.
In the academic sphere, the Joint Vetrisphere Linguistics Institute passes from the Ministry of General Affairs to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Science, a transfer intended to align its work more closely with academic policy.
The Ministerial Department of International Promotion and the Federal Outreach Office have been merged into a new Outreach Office (Raadplegingsambt) under General Affairs, which will serve as the government's principal external communications arm.
The Mahusetan Hasanistani Office for Intra-Hasanistani Affairs, a joint body of the federal government and the government of Virgo and Starnia, has been abolished and its functions absorbed into the Ministry of Foreign and Batyr Bloc Affairs. It is the last of the joint and ad hoc arrangements to be dismantled in favour of permanent ministries.
Taken together, the three stages recast the shape of the state. Where the restructuring of the National Convention streamlined its deliberative bodies and the ministerial appointments clarified executive leadership, the present consolidations bring independent and temporary offices under ministerial control.
