Van der Huijsen congratulates Keir Starmer on Labour landslide

Mahuset marks the end of fourteen years of Conservative government.

Mamucium, 5 July 2024 — Sir Keir Starmer has become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after Labour's landslide in the general election of 4 July, winning 411 of the 650 Commons seats and ending fourteen years of Conservative rule.

Lord-Stadtholder Chad Emiel van der Huijsen congratulated Starmer and his party, wishing Britain "a period of renewed stability and constructive governance". Rishi Sunak's Conservatives suffered their worst-ever defeat, with 121 seats.
