Lazia, 29 May 2026 — With formal celebrations of Mahuset Day curtailed this year, the most notable observance has been a film screening held by the Battered Nonce, a Mahusetan private members' club. The club screened the 1992 Danish short film Gayniggers from Outer Space, a low-budget science-fiction parody, for members on the evening of Mahuset Day.

With formal Mahuset Day celebrations curtailed this year, the screening by the Battered Nonce, a private members’ club, was the year’s most notable observance of the national day. The choice of an obscure and provocative film was in keeping with the club’s character, and with a certain irreverent strand in Mahusetan cultural life.
