Lazia, 25 May 2017 — The Confederation of Mahuset has established diplomatic relations with the Shorewellese Empire, in a treaty drafted by His Imperial Majesty Bilal I.

The treaty with the Shorewellese Empire, drawn up by its ruler Bilal I, took on an unexpected significance weeks later, when the Mahusetan head of state was accused — falsely, Mahuset said — of spying for Shorewell, freezing relations with the Abeldane Empire in the affair known as Spygate. Shorewell was itself among the eight extinct nations whose recognition Mahuset repealed in 2019.
