Lazia, 9 November 2016 — The Lazian Chamber has voted to recognise Abkhazia, recognising its sovereignty over the northern tip of Georgia.
Abkhazia, on the northern tip of Georgia, was among the post-Soviet breakaway states recognised by the Lazian Chamber that November. Mahuset withdrew the recognition in 2022, part of a wholesale reversal of its earlier acknowledgements of Russian-backed separatist territories following the invasion of Ukraine.
