Lazia, 16 October 2016 — The Lazian Chamber has voted to recognise Kosovo, reversing its decision of January.
The Lazian Chamber had voted against recognising Kosovo at its very first sitting in January, when Van der Huijsen and Nuri van Dijk argued that recognition might complicate possible future relations within the Russophone Community. The reversal, some nine months later, brought Mahuset into line with the majority of Western states.
