Lazia, 9 November 2016 — The Lazian Chamber has voted to recognise Nagorno-Karabakh, recognising its sovereignty over the ethnolinguistic area between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Nagorno-Karabakh was one of four post-Soviet breakaway states recognised by the Lazian Chamber that November. The Confederation would later distance itself from the territory, declaring neutrality in the renewed 2020 war between Armenia and Azerbaijan and withdrawing recognition, before formally voiding it in 2022 alongside the other three.
